Many
of the plants from the tropical regions of the world which grow in
Plantasia are familiar, such as those kept as houseplants in homes
across the UK.
Here, also, fruits such as bananas, coconuts and pineapples grow on
trees rather than sitting on supermarket shelves. |
| Children
particularly enjoy a visit to the Butterfly House, where a variety
of species fly freely and various stages of butterfly development
can be seen. The exotic insects, reptiles, fish, birds and cotton
top Tamarin Monkeys are also very popular with younger visitors. |
 |
If you visit during
school holidays, then there`s usually something extra on to entertain
the children, such as exhibitions, treasure trails and other fun activities. |
